I am a Swedish citizen and also Thai, and I am just wondering how it usually works if I would get a job through a Swedish company or organization which has a position in Thailand that I would take. How was the process for those who have worked in Thailand through a foreign co./org. while also being a Thai citizen. Did you still have to get a work permit through your company/organization because you were recruited with your foreign identity and not your Thai one?

I seriously have no idea how these things work!

Would you also be stopped from working in Thailand through a foreign co./org. if you haven't done your military conscription as a Thai citizen?

It would not matter what nationality you were recruited under. You would not need a work permit. As a Thai national you would not even be able to apply for a work permit.

Only if the organization wanted proof of participating in the annual conscription would it be a problem for not doing it. If you are over 30 now it would certainly not be an issue.
