PRD and VNA co-chair 13th Thailand-Vietnam Joint Technical Committee meeting

BANGKOK, 27 June 2016 (NNT) - An adviser to the Director General of Public Relations Department (PRD) and a deputy Vietnam News Agency director general co-chaired the 13th Thailand-Vietnam Joint Technical Committee meeting on the development of information technology to accommodate the ASEAN Economic Community and media in digital age.

Chinapatara Puttachart, the adviser to the PRD director general, and deputy Vietnam News Agency director general Ngo Ha Thai co-chaired the 13th Thailand-Vietnam Joint Technical Committee meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The Thai-Vietnamese meeting discussed the development of the information technology and agreed to support a program to exchange personnel and media information as well as news stories between the two countries.

Both parties were pleased to cooperate so that the Thai and Vietnamese peoples would benefit from more social and cultural information as well as reports of current developments in Thailand and Vietnam.

The deputy VNA director general confirmed that VNA will cooperate in the development of information systems of both countries while the adviser to the PRD director general stressed that PRD will continue to cooperate and agreed to promote exchanges of television news, which got started earlier this year for the first year. He also congratulated on the 40th anniversary of the Thai and Vietnamese diplomatic relations.

The deputy VNA director general expressed his admiration for the success in the news exchange program for Thai and Vietnamese reporters who jointly presented problems affecting both countries for the first time.

The meeting was held under the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between PRD and VNA. Both sides have taken turns to host the meetings with the 14th meeting set to be held in Thailand.

What a shame that the Thai ladies did not emulate their Vietnamese counterparts and wear something like traditional costume.

And if all the men had done the same that would have looked even lovelier.
