BANGKOK: -- The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) today lodged a complaint with the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) accusing the spokesman of disciples of Dhammakaya temple of defamation.

The complaint was filed before noon by the legal affairs director of the DSI accusing the spokesman Mr Ong-art Thamnita of defamation after he told a press conference that the DSI’s probe of the abbot, Phra Dhammachayo was double standard and that it was acting on order of others.

The DSI considered what the spokesman said was false and libellous.

The DSI is currently investigating two large properties owned by Dhammakaya temple, Muk Tawan meditation centre in Koh Yao Island in Phang Nga province, and World Peace Valley in Khao Yai of Pak Chong district of Nakhon Ratchasima province if they encroached on national park areas.

Thailand is a big joke rolleyes.gifwhistling.gif

Looks like the UK is a bit of a joke now too. No longer will it be the UK when Scotland and North Ireland leave. Nor will it be Great Britain. Guess we may have to call it Little England. The Brexits have messed up the country, much more so than any government has done in Thailand.

I described it to someone today as the UK is turning into a European Thailand - insular, has exalted ideas of its own pathetic Nationalism based on long-gone History, full of racist idiots and has a tanking economy, presided over by buffoons.

Although at least we showed Thailand how to hold a referendum on a controversial topic, allowed campaigning in it, and most people now respect the result as a consequence....

And what does the EU referendum have to do with this topic?

What a joke, the DSI can't or won't get on the their job of arresting a monk wanted in connection with a major crime but no problem finding time to file a defamation complaint.

Ah, I'm probably very wrong as they're just getting their priorities right.
