IEAT: Positive outlook for Thailand in second half of this year

BANGKOK, 28 June 2016 (NNT) – The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) disclosed that the investment growth in the second half of this year has seen a positive outlook, especially in the eastern region of the country.

IEAT governor Weeraphong Chaipherm said more investments are expected in the industrial estates in the second half of the year than the first half of the year.

The IEAT aims to sell 3,000 rai of land throughout this year with 1,750 rai of land having been bought in the first six months of the year, he said.

Given the policy of the Board of Investment (BoI), the government has determined measures to promote investment projects, said the IEAT governor.

Saw the headline and thought that some resignations were in the offing!

Wishful thinking.

"... IEAT disclosed that investment growth in the second half of this year has seen a positive outlook ...".
