Supreme Court confirms jailterm for Ms Pemika on fraud charges

BANGKOK: -- The Supreme Court has upheld the 54-month jailterm imposed by the Appeals Court on the former girlfriend of Dr Prakitpao Thomthitchong, owner of Applied Physics tutoring school, after she was found guilty of fraud charges.

The convicted defendant, Ms Pemika or Sivaporn Veerachatraksit, was also ordered to pay about eight million baht in compensation to Dr Prakitpao, the damaged party.

The Supreme Court’s verdict was announced Tuesday by the Ratchadapisek Criminal Court without the presence of Ms Pemika, the first defendant.

Three co-defendants namely Ms Ruthai Rungsirimethakul, Mr Natthapol Promprapai and Mr Watunyu Kanthirapong have their suspended jailterm upheld by the Supreme Court. They were also fined 27,000 baht each.

The Supreme Court ruled that Ms Pemika and her three co-defendants had deceived Dr Prakitpao, capitalizing on his mental weakness, to hand over to Ms Pemika several items of movable and unmovable valuables which include a house, cars, expensive wrist watches, rental fees and cash claiming that the doctor and Ms Pemika were lovers in the past lives and the doctor had to pay his debt to her for the sins he committed.

The case was instituted to the court by Dr Prakitpao and his mother, Associate Professor Ploenchit Thomthitchong. The alleged offences were committed during 2006-2007.

A doctorate in Physics in Thailand is about as easy as receiving your high school diploma back home.

I wouldn't be so hard on him.

From academics to presidents , prime ministers etc etc pay homage to their gods and beliefs everyday..

But nothing is stronger than the power of the pussy.

It's pulled kings off thrones you know!

I agree even the recently deceased Supreme Court Justice Scalia believed in the devil.

In Thailand money trumps pussy, followed by face then the furry thing. Of course if you have all 3 together it's slam dunk.
