Do A Lot Of People Use Ozone Treated Water Machines For Their Water?

Featured Replies

in the title really! I know ozone kills bacteria like nobody's business but nevertheless are they 100% ok?

I used the water machines at my last 2 appartments no problem.

But the watermachine at the shop next to my current condo i dont use; as the water smells kind of wierd :\

So its back to buying bottled water for me.

I have also used these machines many times with no problem. The water appears to be sterile and safe for drinking. And it tastes fine.

It all depends on how well maintained they are.

I prefer Nestle's or Purita's bottled water.

:o

Ozone kills the bugs, no residue or after taste. You need to combine it with a good filter system to remove the floaties and some of the other things that can add taste and smells to the water.

As with all these technologies you also need to follow the recommended maintenance to make sure it keeps working as you hope.

I have used them for the last twelve months or so, and had no ill effects. However, I suppose a lab-test would be required to detect certain nasties.

I also put this water through a 'Brita' water filter so it tastes great.

Another point: here in Pattaya I used to boil vegetables in tap-water, but it gave me gut problems, so I suspect that even after boiling, tap water might be 'raw' and contain excessive minerals or some other 'nasties'.

I think the real issue is maintaining the machines in good order. That's what worries me!
