grumpyoldman
I mean have to move there for few weeks for business purpouse.Whick kind of place is Bang Tao?Suggested accomodation, nightlife, place of interests? You have sleepy tourist town that caters to families, and you have condo owners either part-timers (have residences elsewhere) or retirees. Your accommodation options if just for a few weeks range from high end hotels and villas, to cheaper guesthouses. Best to plug yourself in and figure which you prefer once there. Nice beach, big. Night-life.........not much, probably a few lady bars to be discovered to sink some drinks at but other than that don't plan on finding a thumping late night disco there. That's in Patong and be careful with that commute. Winding road that has taken many a drunk motobiker's lives. You might look at stationing yourself in Kamala. You can easily get to work in Bang Tao from there, bit livelier nightlife.
SooKee
From Bangtao for at least some nightlife you used to be able to go to Surin close by which had Catch Club. Now though, Surin Beach is just a Beirut theme park park. No illegal buildings now, no people and no life either. You could go to take scenic pics of the rubbish and rubble though.
