Top 10 countries with the fastest internet.

I'm living in Netherlands half the time of the year and the other half here in Thailand.

In the Netherlands I have an Internet connect avg of 70 Mbps via ziggo and here in Thailand about 15 Mbps via 3BB.

What is your internet speed?

Getting 20 Mbps down in Hua Hin with AIS. They have packages up to 100 Mbps I believe, but 20 is plenty for me.

Who cares. What we've got is, what we've got.

Agree, who cares. What they sell you is rarely what you get anyway, especially here in Thailand.

Internet is sold as maximum theoretical speed you could get if you were the only one using it and living next door to your isp...

OP,

Since you are with 3BB and I'm assuming a lower speed ADSL plan, check with 3BB to see if they have fiber optics in your area....they are advertising their Fiber Optics 100/10 plan at Bt1200/mo heavily. And AIS has high speed fiber optics plans. Other ISPs also have fiber optic plans. Maybe you are in a fiber optics coverage area for 3BB, AIS, or other ISP...their fiber optics coverage areas are constantly growing. Like for me here in western Bangkok, within just the last few months AIS fiber optics has finally reached my moobaan...I got their 50 down/10 up plan at Bt888/mo...and for the first 3 months I get a 50% discount which makes it only Bt444/mo. I've had the plan for a little over a week now...uptime has been 100% and great international speeds in comparison to my previous ISP of True DOCSIS/cable...and I get the full 50Mb down/10Mb up for in-Thailand connections....actually closer to 51Mb down/12Mb up.

Google Fiber nice if you can get it, especially if you need super speeds for uploading. 1000Mb plan $70 (Bt2450)mo....100Mb plan $50 (Bt1750)/mo. Only select areas in 5 U.S. cities currently have Google Fiber...but planning to expand to 18 more U.S. cities. Of course getting fiber in Thailand is also based on Location, Location, Location....but the number of locations seems to be expanding at a rapid clip since fiber is low cost and easy to install....and very durable.

You do realize google is peeking everything you're doing with your gigabit internet right?
