oxforddon
A seasoned pro pianist and an experienced semi-pro drummer (both English) are looking for an expat of any nationality who would have played bass professionally in his day and would be interested in some gigs playing a range of Jazz, Latin and "Real Book" standards and some other popular tunes. Ideally, he would have a stand-up double bass but an electric bass could suffice. The nature of the gigs and the quality expected really does call for a bassist who has played professionally in his home country or elsewhere in the mentioned genres so while it may seem like a nice opportunity for an enthusiastic non-pro, that really would not be practical. Sorry. Permits to play are not an issue and that can be discussed if that is a worry but, yes, they are paid gigs. PM me or respond here if you wish.
