NongKhaiKid
And exactly what did the EU have to say ? Oh no need, LoS will say it for them.
BigBadGeordie
Exactly NKK, standard stuff from the Thai spokesman. Interestin line in the OP however, "there were officers from the EU travelling to Thailand to monitor the progress and collect data on the matter." The BS has reached new levels, as now the Thai spokesman tells us they are satisfied even before they have arrived.

waldroj
Officers from the EU "...have been reportedly satisfied with..." Thailand’s solutions to IUU fishing. And, more than 99% of Thais "...have been reportedly satisfied with..." the junta. The fishy smell lingers.

bark
Funny, that the EU says everything is fine in Thailand right after the UK votes to leave. I guess the EU is looking for more member states. I wonder when they will ask Thailand to take a few hundred thousand Syrian's ?
chainarong
The EU maybe satisfied , but the UN Human rights are far from satisfied, end of last week they really played out on both Thailand and Cambodia accusing them both of not doing enough and that the rich were behind many of the problems , even telling Cambodia that they knew who they were , they've been around , and they described police investigations that go so far then just fade away, or suspects disappear , no whistleblower protection , sounds familiar , the UN was particularly scathing of Thailand's handling of Burmese workers , question is , was it published here in Thailand and if so in its entirety? ..................... Srikcir
Errors in import/export statistics caused by the time difference between the EU and Thailand had been solved Very mysterious. Could it be simply that Thailand uses a caledar not used anywhere else in the world and didn't translate into the Georgian calendar used in Europe? TallGuyJohninBKK
If I had a dollar for every time the NNT (Thailand national news agency) has Thai officials reporting that foreign governments and/or officials are very satisfied or happy with Thailand on some controversial issue -- without ever directly quoting any actual foreign official -- I'd be a VERY wealthy man.
