BANGKOK, 6 July 2016 (NNT) – The government spokesman believes that the regulation of floral retail space at the Bangkok Flower Market will be beneficial in the long run, asking flower sellers to adhere to society’s best benefits.

Government Spokesman Maj Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd has made a comment regarding the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s (BMA) pavement regulation campaign at Pak Khlong Talad Bangkok Flower Market, effective from 1 July 2016, that the situation has eventually resolved despite some misunderstandings with some retailers. The resolution has allowed traffic in the area to return to normal.

He thanked all flower sellers at the market who understand the intention of the BMA and the police who must regulate the area for the city’s orderliness, as well as to return the space to the pedestrians, and to remove all obstructions from road surfaces.

The government spokesman has said this change will result in a long-term benefit to all sides, assuring that he believes the BMA has proceeded this operation with concise and care, which includes the allocation of new selling space for the affected flower sellers, while the rent negotiation is expected to fall into an appropriate rate without burdening the sellers too much.
