Android 6.0: downgrade to 5.1.1?

Featured Replies

Last week I upgraded my LG G4 to Android 6.0. Been having serious issues since (phone calls & camera not working), so I want to revert to 5.1.

LG's own software for reinstalling the OS seems to be for PC only - I have a Mac.

Does anyone know of a *competent* repair shop (Tukcom?) that can reinstall Android 5.1 on my phone without destroying it?

TIA

Just an uninformed suggestion.

Couldn't you backup your phone Apps, data and info onto your PC and then reset your phone to its factory settings

update your phone to whatever update you wish and then recover from your Backup?

I suggest you go to "Android Authority" website and search "G4 upgrade problem"

I've found them to usually be a good info source.

a bit complicated ... but it can be done with the right tools ..

you can do it yourself if you are tech savvy

If you can not find someone at Tukom ... I can do it for you ...

cost = 0

we can do it together ... and I can explain to you what we are doing as we go ..

I am very familiar with rooting Android phones and using these tools ..

it should be no problem .. the directions on that site seem pretty straight forward to me ...
