Laotian PM in Thailand for official visit

BANGKOK, 6 July 2016 (NNT) – The Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic has traveled for an official visit to Thailand which will include a meeting with the Thai premier on bilateral cooperation and links.


Prime Minister Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha welcomed his Laotian counterpart Thongloun Sisoulith for his official mission to Thailand as a guest of the administration. His trip was kicked off with an observation of the nation’s honor guard and the signing of a guest book before meetings with Gen Prayuth and Thai state officials on multilateral collaborations involving basic infrastructure, investment support, labor, tourism connections and mutual development.

The two premiers are also scheduled to witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on labor protection.

PM Thongloun is visiting Thailand with a delegation of 13 Cabinet members representing his nation’s ministries of foreign affairs, society, culture and tourism, labor, security, trade and investment, energy, education and transport.
