Max Penalty for Non 90-Day Reprotung

Featured Replies

Been living here many years on Retirement visa. Got married and had children, but it was just easier to renew as retired. Until early 2015, I traveled overseas once per month and therefore never worried about reporting. However, I have not traveled since March 2015. Very honestly just forgot about reporting. Now, we have moved to Bung Kan. The immigration office there says I must square this with Pattaya where I got all my previous visas. What is the likely outcome when I go to immigration in Pattaya?

Normally it will be a 2,000 baht fine and reminder not to let it happen again.

As said normally it is a fine of 2000 baht . The maximum fine is 5000 baht.

You new office should be able to take care of it but you will need to formally change your address to Bung Kan.

Thanks, guys.

It can be 5,000 Baht plus 200 baht a day but is normally 2,000 Baht.

From Immigration website.

According to The Immigration Act,B.E.2522,the foreigner who has received a temporary stay permit and stayed in the Kingdom of Thailand over 90 days must notify his residence to immigration officer every 90 days. He/She could notify via internet ( www.immigration.go.th , bangkok.immigration.go.th )

It is better to keep track of the rules of Thai Immigration at all times during your stay in the country, as failure to file your 90-day report can result in a fine of 2,000 THB, and can be increased up to 5,000 THB once you get arrested with an additional fine not exceeding 200 Baht for each day which passes until the law is complied with.

Just put a app on your phone or pc that counts down to your next appointment. Easy

No need for a special app. Just enter the date as appointment and edit the date every time you reported. I use the calendar as birthday reminder for car/bike tax/insurance, visa renewal etc. Just let it send a reminder email a week before the due date and you can sleep well.

After you correct this issue and do your 90 day report at your NEW office ( after you advise them of your change of address ).......... you can always just open your passport and look at the page that Immigration staples into it during each visit.

Damn, mine was up on Sunday but they were closed...sad.png

You get a window of 15 days before and 7 days after.
