Totally legal way to activate Windows
I NEVER get any Windows activation warning garbage. MS never contacts me, these days, for ANY reason. You really must get rid of Windows if you wish to be less stressed in life. And, it's easy. And, it's completely free, and very secure. Just go with OpenSUSE Leap 15.6... How hard is that? NOT HARD, is the truth. -

American man arrested for allegedly abusing 14-year-old Thai student
Foreigners are treated differently than Thais, therefore they should know to be a lot more careful. -

Splitting my time between Thailand & my originating country....
The type of visa you have has no bearing on being a "tax resident." Being in the country more than 180 days - or not - determines this - not "visa type." Many will not stay in the country more than 180 days in the same year they bring in a large lump-sum (condo, retirement-visa 800K, etc), to avoid taxation on it. The next year - no problem - stay all year. -

Siam Paragon’s ‘The Luxury Watch Destination’ presents exclusive showcase of luxury timepie
Last time I was there, I got lost in all the amazing pieces, especially the ones from Watches & Wonders 2024. I’m not a huge collector, but I do appreciate a solid watch, and the variety at Siam Paragon blew me away. They’ve got everything from classics to new releases, and I was drawn to a Rolex GMT clone I had read about. Honestly, it looked just as good in person as any high-end piece. If you’re ever at Siam Paragon and into watches, you’ll probably end up spending more time (and maybe money) there than planned. -

Hunter Biden Felony Fest - the new trial begins:
I just caught up the news that he pled guilty. I was aware that he tried the Alford Plea. Anyway, not a chance Joe will leave him festering in jail. If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you. Vindication again - I said all the summer this trial was the reason why Joe was thrown to the wolves. Under no circumstances could the DNC have several people testifying under oath that Joe was involved in corrupt schemes during the election season. No one effs with a Biden? sorry Joe - your laddie cost you the White House, your laddie is going to jail. Who's the d*ckhead now? -

Petrol Station Scam in Bang Rakam Caught on Video, Goes Viral
It's happened to me twice. After that I watch them and make sure the pump is at zero and that it ends up what I paid. They did this back in the states years ago, knowing most people don't look at their gauges after they've bought gas. It works a lot if you already had gas in the care and are just buying more. My car was at empty and when I drove off, it was still the same.Poor country, more scammers. -

I have read that the father named his son after a firearm. If that turns out to be correct then I'm truly at a loss for words. -

Tim Walz: The Unexpected Strength Behind Harris’s VP Pick
Whatever you did has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Walz faked his military rank and insinuated he fought when he did not and didn't correct the misimpressions. He is inauthentic and falsely embellishes his record. -

Trump's Crude Sexual Attacks on Harris Spark Republican Frustration Amid Poll Gains
Fact 1. Sexual predator, $83 million in damages for defamation. Fact 2. Ordered to repay $450 million in judgment and accrued interest for falsifying property valuations. Fact 3, 91 criminal indictments across 4 separate court cases. Fact 4. Impeached twice. Fact 5. Refused to reveal tax records, the first President in history to do so. Fact 6. Convicted of falsifying business records to conceal a payment to a porn star. Fact 7. Multiple business bankruptcies. Fact 8. Stated only mobsters take the Fifth, then used it 500 times during depositions. How many facts do you want?- 2

Baht becoming ridiculously strong
Someone please set my little pinhead straight. I contend that the only way to gage the strength of a given currency is to compare how much of a sturdy commodity (like gold) it will buy. If a USD buys 35x as much gold as a THB, that's the relative value, even if the "exchange rate" is something different. And if the THB buys less gold than it did a year ago, it's losing value, maybe more and maybe less than the USD. They may both be tanking, so calling one "strong" isn't really accurate. Of course, that's my engineering bent, and not a financial bent. Where is that wrong? -

Trump Has 'Very' Rocky Moment On Fox News As He Repeatedly Denies Being Weird
Trump is incredibly weird, Vance is not quite as weird as he is, but he's very weird. It probably would have been better for him to just own up and admit that he and Vance are both weird, rather than deny it 11 times in that short interview. That makes him look even weirder. I don't think he knows how weird he is, I don't think he realizes how incredibly weird he and his VP pick are. How about this for wierd? Donald Trump on Thursday got a question about what he would do as president to make child care more affordable and accessible. The reporter, Saujani said that high child care costs were creating hardships and holding back economic growth, by making it difficult for many working parents ― especially working women ― to stay in the workforce. Then she asked Trump whether he’d commit to making child care a priority of his administration and, if so, what policies he would pursue. Trump started his answer by saying he “would do that,” then name-dropped his daughter Ivanka and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), who has talked about child care and introduced legislation he says would improve access. “It’s a very important issue,” Trump said. “But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I’m talking about, that — because — child care is child care ... It’s something, you have to have it in this country. You have to have it.” “But when you talk about those numbers, compared to the kind of numbers that I’m talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they’re not used to, but they’ll get used to it very quickly, and it’s not going to stop them from doing business with us, but they’ll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country,” he said. “Those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that we’re talking about, including child care, that it’s going to take care,” Trump continued. “We’re going to have — I look forward to having no deficits within a fairly short period of time, coupled with the reductions that I told you about on waste and fraud and all of the other things that are going on in our country.” Exactly how all of this was supposed help working parents find or pay for child care wasn’t clear, especially given 0widespread predictions from economists that Trump’s tariffs would actually lead to 0higher deficits and a 0weaker economy, as well as higher costs to families who would 0pay more for imported goods. “As much as child care is talked about as being expensive, it’s, relatively speaking, not very expensive compared to the kind of numbers we’ll be taking in,” Trump said on Thursday. “We’re going to make this into an incredible country that can afford to take care of its people,” Trump added ― again, without specifying how this would change child care costs. Weird. Very weird how even his policies are not policoes. -
