My wife has been using her i-Mobile IQ X SLIM 2 phone and its been great , she has recently broken it and would like to buy a new exact same i-Moble model.

Unfortunately the IQ X SLIM 2 , looks like its no longer sold , we have asked at the local mobile phone shops , but no luck , the phone cost about 4,000 Baht a year ago, the phone it self is Dual Sim / external memory card/ hot spot / and very light.

I’m thinking this phone must be sold some where else under another name as its a Chinese manufactured phone.

Ive had no luck finding a Chinese phone web site that lets me enter the exact specification as the IQ X SLIM 2 , so I can find the same phone / specification under another brand .

Any one have an idea how to find the IQ X SLIM 2 under another brand ?

My wife only wants to pay around 4,000 Baht for the new phone.

e-bay sells a lot of Chinese produced phones, and shipped from Hong Kong. You could also try Lazada.th or Alibaba.

You can get better spec phones for 4000 baht and the above mentioned phone has only 4gb of rom and was released in 2014 so it's basically obsolete. A lot has happened in 2 years so if I was you I would be looking at something else.

masuk , thanks for the advice thumbsup.gif

Ive all ready checked the places you mention , but no luck

The problem is trying to find a phone with the nearest specification to the i-Mobile IQ X Slim 2 the original cost around 4,000 Baht and the phone has a decent specification and my wife fell in love with the phones lightness ( only 120g ) and how thin the phone is ( only 7.2 mm ) and for her a perfect screen size of 4.7 inches .

The i-Moble phones seem to be sold in the Philippines under the brand name of Starmobile

http://www.starmobile.ph/smartphones/

But there does not seem to be an equivalent starmobile to the IQ X Slim 2 .

Ive found a few Chinese phones with similar specifications , but they are thicker and heaver and cost more sad.png

I wish I could find some where I could just put in the phones specification I am looking for and it comes up with a list of phones that have the required specification , instead of having to individually check each phone advertised to see its full specification sad.png

I’m sure there must be a phone with the exact same specification as the IQ X Slim 2 out there some where

Ive searched for an updated phone that has a similar specification as the IQ X Slim 2 , but so far Ive not managed to find one that has the following ..

Touch screen 4.7 inch max ( 720x1280 pixels )

Weight 120g or less

Thickness 7.2 mm or less

External micro SD slot

Dual SIM

12 megapixel primary camera + flash

Hotspot option

for 4,000 Baht or less

Check out the Samsung Galaxy J7, it might be twice your price, but it's a ripper.

Thanks , my wife pays for her own phones so that phone is above her budget , but still a very nice phone.

There is one here but 4600 baht and 133 gram but quite good specs for the money.

Yes it is a nice phone and a decent price but and with my wife there’s nearly all ways a but . She seems to be fixated with her now broken phones weight and how slim it is, and I must admit its one of the nicest phones ive held, my own phone has a 5.5 inch screen and weighs 158g and is 8.2 mm thick, when I used her IQ X Slim 2 in the past , I realized that it was just nice to hold and use . So I can understand her enthusiasm for such a slim and light phone , even if it is an old out dated specification.

I have just found this phone

WIKO Highway Pure 4G

its lacking in several areas that my wife’s IQ X Slim 2 has , but the weight is only 98g and only 5.1mm slim and priced ( Jaymart ) at 4,990 Baht

My wife pays for her own phones , so the original 4,000 Baht cost of the IQ X Slim 2 was in her budget .

I will keep searching smile.png

My kind of phone - would like to have one myself - I find my Samsung J2 at 130g-ish, 8.x mm and 4.7" screen is very comfortable, but low spec.

I had used my wife’s 4.7 inch slim and light mobile phone on several occasions , and although the screen was smaller than my current 5.5 inch phone , the lightness and slimness made it a joy to use .

I think that may be apart for different specs , a 4.7 inch phone with a smaller thickness and lighter weight , you would soon notice straight away how nice the phone feels to use , no heavy lump in your pocket , no hand ache after holding a heavy lump for several minuets , easy to use one handed .

The Wiko Highway Pure 4G may not be a well known brand in Thailand and its reliability sketchy , but I can’t wait to physically pick one up and see what phone with a 4.8 inch screen , weighing only 98g and a thickness of only 5.1mm feels like in the hand .

The IQ X Slim 2 may now be old , but it still feels ( or it did ) a joy and pleasure to use.

WIKO is a French company and they have a great and friendly software-update policy, so chances are you can have the latest android for at least 2 years or so. Though their phones are no exactly slim

Presumably when it isn't "broken"?

she has recently broken it

You could look for a second hand i-Mobile IQ X SLIM 2, they may not be too hard to find. And cheap too.

Or just use one of the many phone finder sites: enter your requirements (dimensions/weight and price seem most important to your wife, and/or you). Then look for one of those.

Alternatively your wife could just go look at phones? Should be relatively simple for her to find a phone she likes without asking you, to ask everyone else?
