Hey all

21 y/o guy from Norway here and under the visa exemption rule.
I arrived in Thailand june 8th, got 30 day exemption
I extended this for 30 days, now expires august 7th.
I need to stay until august 22nd (15 more days) then I will fly out to Sweden from Bangkok.
I can book this plane ticket and prove that I am leaving then.

Will I have any problems doing a border run to get another 15/30 day stamp?
Any advice on the easiest/cheapest option from Chiang Mai?

Just want to make sure everything works out.

A land border run will get you 15 days.

Or get a cheap international Air Asia flight and get 30 days.

• You will only get 15 days at a land border.

If you exit and return on the 7th your 15 day permission to stay will end on August 21st. The day you enter counts as day 1.

Out/in visa exempt entry is not allowed at the Myanmar border. You should go to Chiang Khong on the Laos border where you should (no guarantee) be granted another visa exempt entry.
