CHONBURI:-- A member of the public alerted Koh Si Chang, Chonburi, police after they spotted a section of a human body washed up on the island of Koh Yai Thao on Wednesday.

Police said it was part of the lower body and leg probably of a man.

Red underwear was still attached. Foundation workers took the part to the Koh Si Chang hospital for a detailed autopsy.

Police suspect that the man was a member of a crew on a boat who was murdered and thrown in the sea to hide the body.

They are studying missing persons reports in an effort to discover the identity of the victim.

I'll agree that it was a he, and HE has most probably come from a boat.

Was he murdered or met with accident to hide the body?...Was he a member of a crew?......maybe so but not now!

..... he's been well and truly dismembered wub.png

The police are searching their records as we speak...to see if there have been any similar suicides reported in the past...wai2.gif

Death trawlers .

...illegal crew that are thrown over in lieu of pay.....again...???

...do you really think that anyone will file a missing persons report....???

Searching missing persons records will not help if the victim was an illegal Burmese fishing slave.

Sorry sotirios. We had the same thought at the same time it seems.

K*** Seafood staff, perhaps?

Sorry for that, but in this country you have two choices - either go completely saracstic and take the daily news in with a hefty dark humor, or go completely insane...

The interested one might wanna google "Sea Slaves"... as topic very hard to digest. sad.png

Maybe it was what was left of a Vietnamese fisherman that the Navy bullies sorted out just recently.

Why I don't eat tuna in a can...

The German who complained about his lobster?

Another reason not to swim in the ocean here.
