Train Hits Man Sleeping on Track

Featured Replies

A man’s body was discovered in Prey Veng’s Prey Totoeng commune after he was run over by a train yesterday morning, according to neighboring Kandal provincial authorities who are investigating the death. Chan Sareth, the police section chief of Kandal’s Stung district, which borders Prey Totoeng, said police had concluded the unidentified man was asleep at the time of his death, as his body was discovered laying on the tracks.

“There are several trains going across the area, sometimes at night, in the morning or evening. It is inside a forested area. His body was on the train track,” Mr. Sareth said. “His body was seriously damaged. We think he was sleeping when the train ran him over. We don’t know the identity of the man yet. Police are still working on it.”

Traping Veng commune police chief Has Saroeun said the last train of the night killed the man at about 3am. “We concluded that it happened in the early hours because last night there were four trains, but probably only the last train at about 3am ran over the man because if a lot of trains ran him over the body would be more badly damaged,” Mr. Saroeun said, adding that he thought the victim may have been mentally ill.

ThaiVisa, it's also in French

why was he sleeping on the train tracks.

to RIP.

could be drunk or suicide. so many possibilities.

...does that make sense even to an imbecile.....

...one might guess .... 'disposed of on the tracks'.....

Even the Cambo police has all the answers : imbecile, mentally ill, asleep. Not thinking he might be drugged and placed there to be run over by the train,,,,,bah.gif

Sadly, about as inevitable as "Lion attacks man who steps in cage"

"And the Darwin Award in Cambodia for Thursday July 14th goes to....."
