Karadzic appeals war crimes conviction

Radovan Karadzic has appealed his conviction for genocide and crimes against humanity.

The former Bosnian Serb leader said that he had not received a fair trial from the international war crimes court in the Hague.

The 71-yr-old was convicted in March, among the offences – the killing of 8,000 Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica.

and did he give a 'fair trial' to all those he murdered bah.gif

There were a great many very unpleasant if not downright evil people involved in the whole Bosnian civil war. This fellow was one of the worst.

Hard to imagine that anyone who's done the things he's done could feel no remorse and actually believe it's he who's been treated unfairly. The very definition of both a psychopath and a sociopath.

Excellent documentary if you have 5 hours to kill.

Then make up your own mind. However, there were war crimes committed by the Serbs, Croats, and Bosniacs. Once the Dogs of War are released, humanity goes out the window and it's the civilians who suffer.

Unfortunately I don't have 5 hours to kill. However I did spend a lot of time in Former Yugoslavia.during the civil wars.

You are absolutely right, awful things were done by all 3 "sides". The Bosnian Serbs were the most savage, but by no means the only savages.

As far as the "Dogs of War" are concerned, some of the nastiest people were the foreign "mercenaries" - not just the Islamics and Slav nationalist volunteers but also those from the west indulging their military fantasies. I remember one prat swaggering up to us, belts of 7.62 link criscrossing his chest, grenades dangling from his belt kit - if anything had gone bang near him he would have gone off like a human catherine wheel! He was bursting to tell us he was a Brit too. We pointed out that if we saw him again we would knock him on the head, sling him in a wagon, then a Hercules back to Lyneham and he would wake up in the custody suite of Swindon Police Station. (I don't think we could have legally done it but the Wiltshire Police probably wouldn't have pressed charges!)

He was a tad crestfallen and scuttled away.

All in all it was a tragic mess. A lot of innocent people suffered and died, and that **** in the OP bears a lot of the responsibility.

They should have shot the stinking murderous bastard, whilst attempting to escape.
