Anybody know if it's possible to use an agent to renew british passport and at the same time have a 1 year non 'O' put on?

Any recommended agents?

I believe there's a few places at Trendy on Soi 13 bangkok, anyone to recommend?

Thanks.

A visa cannot be transferred. If you have a multiple entry visa you will need to use both passports until the visa expires. If you actually have an extension of stay issued by immigration you will have to go to the office that issued it to have your stamps transferred to the new one.

I have no idea about agents near Trendy that can do the passport application.

I plan to renew passport and visa at the same time, ie PP expires Dec / non 'O' in Dec.

What i'm trying to avoid is sending all paperwork away for a new passport and then once received having to send it away again for non 'O'.

Thanks.

You will need to get a new passport before you can do anything.

You cannot send your passport anywhere, from within Thailand, to get a non 'O' visa.

I have a 1yr Non O (issued this month) in my current USA passport which expires in 7 months. Can I get a new passport at the US Embassy in Bangkok and then just carry both passports through airport immigration when I leave and come back to Thailand? That is, can I use the 1yr Non O in the old passport to enter Thailand on the new passport?

Thanks, Ubonjoe!

You can use your visa in the old passport until it expires.

Show both passports the first time you leave the country the first time to have your current entry stamp transferred to the new one and then be stamped out in it. Then both passports on entry to use your visa in the old one and be stamped into the country in the new one.
