Epson Printer wi-fi

Featured Replies

I have just bought a an Epson Expression XP-235 all-in-one printer and cannot get it to connect wirelessly with my laptop. I have tried it from the disc supplied, then uninstalled that and tried using drivers downloaded from the Epson support site. I have successfully connected it via USB cable and then tried to change the connection method. Nothing has worked. Can any expert advise me ?

use a USB cable wi fi is not worth the hassle, but if determined a search on youtube might help

Have a look at downloading Epsons iprint app

Agree with thai3 above. Get a USB cable and forget wifi.

You will need the printers IP address to set it up. It is not a straight forward thing to do though.

I currently have a Canon WiFi printer, but used to have an Epson WiFi printer. Both of them automatically connected to my home network during the initial set-up process. But, that said, I think they connected via my WiFi router. I don't think there was a direct connection between any of my computers and the printer. Is there a router in your configuration?

I do seem to recall that during the setup process I had to choose EITHER direct network cable connection OR WiFi connection and understood that to change the connection type I would have to re-run the setup program.
