Yingluck's rice-pledging scheme damages rise to 549 billion baht – says TDRI

BANGKOK: -- Total loss from the Yingluck government's implementation of the controversial rice pledging scheme has now jumped to 549 billion baht, up from earlier estimation of 542 billion baht, according to Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI) yesterday.

Prawit says evidence substantial to sue former Chiang Mai mayor

BANGKOK: -- Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan says the police have substantial evidence to prosecute the chief executive officer of Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organisation (PAO) Boonlert Buranupakorn over a recent dissemination of mails with distorted content of the draft constitution.

DPM says government's 20 year plan to be present in every draft of constitution

BANGKOK, 27 July 2016 (NNT) – The Deputy Prime Minister has indicated that even if the current draft charter does not pass referendum, the next edition of the document will maintain the government’s reform strategies and goals.
