July 27, 20169 yr A north-east oil and gas worker who was offered a minimum £28,500 a month to become a subsea supervisor in Alaska quickly realised that it was a scam. Gavin Buchan, who lives in Laurencekirk, said the tempting salary was too good to be true. Alaska is not known for its subsea industry, and bogus contact numbers in emails offering him work offered more clues that he was being targeted by a fraudster. https://www.energyvoice.com/oilandgas/north-sea/115509/scammers-continue-target-north-sea-oil-gas-workers/
July 30, 20169 yr Sounds similar to one i had saying there was a job with Chevron in Indonesia. All i had to do was send money to the lawyers in London to start the paperwork. It all seemed to good to be true so tried to get in touch with someone through the contact details, nothing happened. Some people are desperate though and will take a chance.
