Min of Education aims to make students proficient in everyday English within 3 yrs

Ombudsman asked to review gold mine shutdown order

PHITSANULOK: -- A group of community leaders and villagers living around the Chatri gold mine in Phitsanulok province on Wednesday petitioned the ombudsman to put on hold the government’s recent decision to close down the mine but to allow extracting operations of Akara Resources Company to continue for six months.

Kasikorn says constitutional referendum has no impact on economy

Govt holds ceremony for HRH the Princes Birthday Anniversary

The government today organized ceremonies spanning 5 religions in honor of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorns birthday anniversary.

Prime Minister Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha chaired the conducting of the ceremonies to mark July 28, 2016, the 64th birthday anniversary of the Crown Prince. The ceremonies were carried out by leaders of the religions of Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and Sikhism and took place in front of Government House.

Similar events took place at provincial halls across the nation with most engaging in alms giving to devote merit to His Royal Highness. Many temples in the country have also organized ceremonies in honor of the Crown Prince.

Thai embassies abroad will be holding events through the day to mark the occasion, allowing Thais across the globe to express their loyalty and devotion to His Royal Highness.

Australia: MH370 captain's simulator had Indian Ocean route

Crown Prince’s 64th birthday anniversary celebrations nationwide today

BANGKOK: -- The whole nation today held religious functions to mark the 64th birthday anniversary of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn today.

In Bangkok, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha led his cabinet, the presidents of the National Legislative Assembly, the Supreme Court, the Constitution Court, the Administrative Court, Armed Forces commanders-in-chief, heads of all independent organisations, and government officials in religious ceremonies to mark the Crown Prince’s birthday anniversary at Government House, and the show of loyalty to the institution.

The ceremonies were held in five religious functions – Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism and Sikhism.

Meanwhile similar events were also held at provincial halls across the nation with most engaging in alms giving to devote merit to His Royal Highness.

The governor of each province chaired the religious function.

All temples in the country have also organized ceremonies in honor of the Crown Prince.

National News Bureau of Thailand said Thai embassies abroad will be holding events through the day to mark the occasion, allowing Thais across the globe to express their loyalty and devotion to His Royal Highness.
