Tourist Visa And Mariage

Featured Replies

Hi (and congratulations for your job) !

I arrived to Bangkok 5 oct with a double entry touristvisa so i can stay 2 x (60 + 30) days in Thailand. I am 35.

Now my question: which is the most convenient place to activate my second entry (convenience, cost...) considering that i am living in Nakhonpathom ?

Second question : if i get married with my thai girl friend during my stay, how long does it take to transform my tourist visa in a non immigrant visa O-A ? Can i do it without getting out of the country ?

Thanks in advance...

You can stay 60days + apply for a 30days extention , doing a Visarun to Cambodia with one of the companies advertiseing Daytrips from BKK @THB 1900.- to 2200.- and activate your second entry , 60days + another 30days extention , which could add up to 180days in total.

Can not be a help for your question re the marriage situation .

O-A is obtained outside the country and is only for retirement ( need to be over 50 years old)

You need to change your visa to an "o" visa and then do a extension of stay based on marriage in 90 days. The change of the visa takes one hour at Immigration. The gathering of the documents will take a day or so.

Can i do it without getting out of the country ?

yes
