Hugs and  tears as Egyptian/Thai boy reunited with Thai mum after eight years apart

p2.jpg

BANGKOK: -- TV crews recorded a Thai mother's tears of joy as she was reunited with her 15 year old son after a heart wrenching eight year separation.

The boy was taken away by his Egyptian father to Cairo when he was seven. He was then so seriously abused by his Egyptian step mother that he ran away from home living a desperate life on the streets.

He was eventually found by Thai consular officials and other agencies that led to his repatriation to Thailand. The family are believed to be from the Udon Thani area of north east Thailand.

...would like to hear the other side of the story.....

Good story , Thailand will offer a better life for him. Who want to live in Egypt anyway .

Amazing because if you live in thailand especially the northeast as a native thai it's not a very good life. Lots of poor ppl there then you compare it to egypt and it's heaven in thailand compared to egypt.

Need more of these up-beat stories!

Good is as easy to find as bad!
