If you have a health insurance policy issued in Thailand then you should check the small print if you travel on a motorcycle, even as a passenger.

You are probably not covered!!

My policy with Royal & Sun Alliance has an exclusion for all motorbike travel.

My wife's policy with BUPA Blue Cross limits claims to 50%.

I Know that 50% coverage on motorcylces is correct as far as BUPA is concerned.

Also if you have any history of accidents, surgeries, medical problems etc ---that portion of your body will be excluded from any coverage regardless of how long ago (ie more than 12 yrs!!)you had a problem. Anything you mention in your medical history writeup which is required will be excluded from coverage. Read carefully before you buy.
