Thailand FEED Contract Goes to Amec Foster Wheeler

Amec Foster Wheeler on August 1 announced that it has won a front end engineering design (FEED) contract from Thai Oil Public Co. Ltd. for its Clean Fuels Project at the Sriracha Refinery in Thailand.

"This latest contract, led by our well-established operation in Sriracha, further reinforces our customer's confidence in Amec Foster Wheeler to provide the highest quality services to their projects in Thailand," said Roberto Penno, group president of Amec Foster Wheeler's Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Southern Europe business in a press release.

The contract, which anticipates a second quarter 2017 completion, calls for expanding the refinery's crude distillation capacity from 275,000 barrels per stream day (bpsd) to 410,000 bpsd as well as making energy efficiency improvements, Amec Foster Wheeler stated.
