Since I upgraded to the latest Win 10 Anniversary edition it seems like Windows has disabled my laptop from using Intel WiDi.

I can no longer connect to my Samsung Smart TV using Wi Di nor can I install the Intel Win 10 software to access this. (This app is not available for this PC)

There is a built in application called "Connect to a wireless display" that comes with Win 10 but it is unable to "Discover" the Samsung TV even though it is listed as a Play Device in the Windows settings.

I am using an Intel AC Dual Band AC3160 Card.

Does anyone know how to bypass the Win 10 block on the Intel software? ( I have already tried disabling Smart Screen etc. and that doesn't help)
Alternatively, anyone know how to get the Connect to Wireless Display to work with a series 5 Samsung Smart TV?

Thanks.

If that's because of the Anniversary update, I'd better find out how to block that update because I'm currently using Teamviewer on my XP machine to look at my Win10 machine's desktop which is using Explorer to browse the network back to my XP machine's shared folder in order to cast the downloaded videos to my LG smart TV.

Or something like that  default_facepalm.gif.

Edit:

OK, I'll be doing this tomorrow:

Try removing the device from the list in Windows system/devices/connected devices. Then add device to rediscover it.

My experiences with Windows Miracast are that it is pretty fickle though.

For the Intel AC card, have you tried "roll back driver" in device manager?
