Hi

 

I missed the expiry of my retirement visa due to hospitalisation in UK by 8 days and i need to leave Phuket to get a Non O and then start the extension of stay for retirement all over again.

 

Any thought on best location , Penang or KL??

 

If anyone has done this recently , could you advise process /protocol. Have all the necessary bank account /funds and other papers

Sorry to hear of your illness. I hope you are much better now. The KL embassy is unfriendly, and I would avoid them for any visa matters if at all possible. I would go to Penang and use an agent. I admit, though, that I have not tried for a Non O intending to get a retirement extension in either location.

Kl will on do a non-o visa for being 50 or over.

Penang will do one if you show the financial proof needed for the extension.
