More officially H.M. The Queen's birthday and it's not on the list of alcohol sale ban days bit some local authorities might choose to impose such a ban. At this time, no such ban is known of in the Pattaya area.

Wow, your nameI'llst be "Nobody" as most (ecommemorate Delete) expats know ,that there is a mothers day in Thailand.

It was first introduced to Thailand on 15 April 1950, but in 1976 it was changed to 12th. August to coincide, and to commemorate, the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. There is also a Fathers Day in Thailand, but ill let you work the dedails of that out for yourself.

As Mothers Day is not a Buddhist celebration, the sale of alchol may be permitted, however the goverment will have a say in that.

Does it really matter if they do close the bars. You bar stoolers can still pay her bar fine don't worry.

I don't think you know the difference between a club & a bar. Club - also known as a discoteque in Thailand.

Just been informed that bars around the lake in Pong and on the other side near Crocodlie Farm have to close tomorrow. Not sure about Pattaya city area.
