roiethome
I will be using Emirates for the first time later this month, Bangkok-Dubai-Birmingham UK. Has anyone used this route and does the connection to Birmingham depart from the same terminal in Dubai or is it necessary to change between terminals. Any info much appreciated, Cheers
tw25rw
Can't give you exactly what you are asking for, but when you get off the plane, there's a board there with all the connecting flights showing the gate to go to. Follow the signs saying connections. Go through the security check. Then head for the gate. If it's in a different building, there's a train. There are loads of signs, so it's hard to get lost despite it being a bit of a maze with 1000s of people around.

rak sa_ngop
I suggest you do not dawdle if your connecting flight departs 1 to 2 hours after you land. When you factor in the security checks, long walks, train connection and the fact that you have to be at the departure gate 20 (or is it 30) minutes before departure you can easily miss your connection. Your luggage will be unloaded and you are in sh*t! Seems like luggage can be transferred between flights faster than passengers!
Minnie the Minx
Emirates is as smooth as it gets with transfers but not if you are arriving somewhere with five other planes at the same time as happened to me on numerous occassions.
angsta
The Airport is running at 50% capacity so it is much quieter now. It is a relatively painless process..
