Police say mobile phones and power bank chargers used to commit arson in South

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 15 August 2016 (NNT) - Police believe that mobile phones and power bank chargers were used to commit arson in several southern provinces last week.

Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police Pol Lt Gen Suchart Theerasawat said police believed that a fire, which broke out at a Tesco Lotus supermarket in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, was triggered by a mobile phone and a power bank charger found at the scene.

Police have found similar items at fires in other provinces. The supermarket chain will reopen tomorrow, as a restoration process is still ongoing.

A 32-year-old suspect, Mr. Sakarin Karuehat, was questioned by Commissioner of Provincial Police Region 8 Pol Lt Gen Tesa Siriwatho at the 41st Military Circle in Nakhon Si Thammarat. No details regarding the interrogation has been divulged by the police.

Meanwhile, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd, has denied that Mr. Sakarin is one of its employees, explaining that the suspect had been working for a subcontracted company.

Mr. Sakarin, who is originally from Chiang Mai province, was arrested while working on an offshore oil rig in the Gulf of Thailand. His arrest was assisted by the Department of Mineral Fuels, which used one of its helicopters to transport police officers to the oil rig.

Any red blooded American kid knows how to build all this stuff. And that was way before the internet.

M80 and TNT huge firecrackers from Mexico and you could blow up the whole neighborhood on Halloween. :)

In high school in the 1970's the fire dept would SHOW you how to build bombs so you would understand how dangerous some common household items are.

Wait till Thais learn the internet exists and not just Facebook.

Then we will see some real fireworks, not this amateur hour stuff.

Interesting that the trails looks to be heading south.

The trail will go wherever the kakocracy wants it to go, which according to them is North at the moment, hence the emphasis in the Govt. controlled news on the suspect's Chiang Mai origins.
