PATTAYA: -- Just after midnight, on the morning of August 17, a police team was sent to arrest Mr. Siriphol Suthi, a thirty-three-year-old also known as K Sattahip, on charges of ‘drug distribution to all the teenagers in Pattaya area.’

An earlier investigation had revealed that Siriphol, of no fixed address, would hide himself by checking into different condos or hotels everyday.

Officers set up a sting operation to find out what he was doing and sent a message asking to buy ten Yabba tablets for 1200 baht. They arranged to meet Siriphol on Soi Pothisan, Naklua and he turned up, on time, riding a red and white Honda Wave.

However, he noticed he was being set up so he left his motorbike and ran away. Two-hundred yards along the road officers caught up with him and a fight broke out before they were able to arrest him.

No surprise here!

good job well done

120b for a yabba tablet? you mean theyve been ripping me off all that time?

I doubt he distributed to all the teenagers in Pattaya area. Surely some don't do drugs.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was an informant as well as a dealer...

i wonder how he realised that he was being set up. internal information or his sharp sense of deduction.

stupid wasteof time. the war on drugs is a war on the people. recreational drug use is matter of freedom of choice and thought and not police business.

Pattaya police pursued him for 200 yards!   I don't believe it unless they hired a taxinometer.

Low level cops busting the occasional low level dealer, knowing that their bosses at the top are ensuing a consistent supply.  Job security.
