Does anyone know when the new 2017 vehicle models are due to make their appearance in Thai showrooms?

Depends on how well the 2016 models are selling in some cases never.

Including the manufacturers/importers/distributors.

Its just a marketing thing. For most brands (eg BMW, Audi, Benz etc),  every model has a lifespan for about 7 years or so. And usually its a face-lift introduced about halfway. Sometimes they do some production changes to car from year to year, but from a customer perspective, thats not import anyway..
