BANGKOK — The hunt for those responsible for a wave of terror attacks that shook the south two weeks ago goes on, but police have revealed very little about the suspected perpetrators.

While national police commanders in Bangkok say there’s only one suspect so far, local police in some provinces are searching for persons of interest that they believe to have ties to the attacks, which killed four people over the course of Aug. 11-12, which marked Mother’s Day holidays.

useful pictures

And a scathing piece in today's NYT: saying that the blaming of these ( and previous, similar) events on domestic politics rather than southern terrorists is ludicrous. And yet they persist with it.

^Also stated they might have been hired to carry out the coordinated attacks.

Perhaps Mr Thaksin could help in the investigation by reaching out to BRN as he's held several overseas meetings with the Southern insurgency leaders and apparently they get on well according to this article:

The ex-PM met with a group led by Hasan Taib for the first time in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, where Thaksin has been in self-exile since 2008

What are you on it cant be legal ?

At least we know they are all clones...that's a start.

Releasing ridiculous photos like these is just making a complete mockery of the public - laughing in their faces. It is a total farce. The authorities have no genuine intention of catching the real perpetrators.

And what a comedy of contradictions is going on here (as with all other major police 'investigations'): one police force says only one person is involved; another police force says several people are involved; and yet another will say something else.

These people could not organise the proverbial p...-up in a brewery. Or else - they are directed NOT to finger the real masterminds ...

I thought they said it was nothing to do with the BRN but then they have said so much it is difficult to keep up with the charade.

If they say that they were insurgents from the south who were behind these attacks & they believe that this guy is one of them then they are fooling none except themselves...since when Muslim separtists have started wearing budha lockets...

Wth those story telling photos, they gonna have the culrits in no time!!! :coffee1:

Waldroj, the difference is that your pictures are (in comparison) actual real photos of real living perpetrators   - whereas the official police ones are re-duplicated cartoons of cartoons  - ha ha!

Isn't that the same person in each photo?

the police just need to find a handful of Burmese....  It's all down hill from there...  :whistling:
