August 23, 20169 yr Hi All Does anyone know what I need for 1YR Marriage Non-O at Ho Chi Min Consulate? Do I need to take original docs & do they ask for Proof of funds? On the Website it doesn't specify either of these.
August 23, 20169 yr Not sure you will be able to get a multiple entry non-o visa there. I don't recall any reports of one being issued and there are none in the pinned topic about getting visas within the region. This page on the website lists the following requirements. http://www.thaiembassy.org/hochiminh/en/services/2886/46902-Non-Immigrant-Visa-"O"---Accompanying-Th.html Quote For spouse of Thai nationals Guarantee letter written in Thai from Thai spouse Copy of marriage certificate Certified copy of Thai spouse’s ID card Certified copy of house registration book Other than the letter from your wife requesting you be issued the visa (Guarantee letter) the others are the same as anywhere else. Certified means signed by your wife. I suggest you take the original of your marriage certificate in case they want to see it. Not sure about the 400k baht in the bank but most locations don't ask for it other than Singapore and Malaysia. The page mentions a multiple entry visa but that often means nothing when it comes to reality. Most people go to Savannakhet Laos for multiple entry non-o visas. No financial proof is required there.
August 23, 20169 yr I would be very surprised, regardless of the what appears to be available on the website, that you would get a multiple entry (1 year) visa from HCM unless you are resident or Vietnamese. You would get one in Savannakhet, Laos without proof of funds, or maybe in Penang, Malaysia with at least 400K baht in the bank.
