August 25, 20169 yr Hello We are planing to fly to Thailand from the United States and return within a month. After visiting our friends in Pattaya, we would like to travel independently from there to Angkor Wat. After a week, we would return to Thailand, hopefully by the same route we took from Pattaya. My question is this....with all the new visa rules, which seem to put an end to "quick in and outs", will it be necessary to obtain paperwork permission from the Thai embassy in Cambodia before arriving back at the Thai border after that week or so.? We have a nice route of taxis from pattaya to the border, and then again to Angkor Wat and back again. However, if flying back would simplify things, we could fly the pricey Siem Reap to Bangkok route. thanks!
August 25, 20169 yr There are no new rules. What you plan to do will not be a problem. Only if you planned to cross the border, then turnaround and return would there be a problem.
