Properly disposing of carcass: Do municipal authorities help?

Massive stray cat died within the vicinity of my house on the property's ground.

I presume this is not someone's pet. I don't want to just throw it on the road or in the bin and I'm also reluctant to put it into my car to bring it to some temple for cremation, as I don't have pickup car.

What is the alternative? In many countries municipalities offer service to collect carcasses. What is the situation in Bangkok?

Any experience or sensible ideas? Thanks!

Bury it somewhere close to the house or keep it (e.g. freeze it in zip bag) and then bring it out when you have the chance to cremate or bury further away or throw into the sea (it will decompose slowly or get eaten, serving the mother nature for the last time).

If u feel necessary u can also contact  activists e.g. Acres, love wild life and wwf in Thailand to discuss the matter.

Thanks!  I wasn't really looking for a DIY burial or cremation though.

An empty rice bag was sufficient as a "shroud", which was unceremoniously placed next to the bin and duly removed by the municipal refuse collection.
