Burmese Man Stabbed to Death over Mobile Phone, 2 Arrested, 4 on the Run

CityNews – Two men have been arrested over the murder of a Burmese man in Chiang Mai, with another four on the run, after a man was found stabbed to death in his apartment in Wat Gate area.

 

In the early morning of August 24, a gang of six men on motorbikes were caught on CCTV breaking into a room in an apartment block near the Rattanakosin intersection, and escape three minutes later. At 8am the owner of the apartment discovered the body after entering the room.

 

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Sai Ya Ngin, a Burmese national living and working in Chiang Mai.

 

After studying CCTV footage and asking local residents, the police were able to identify some of the attackers. On August 25, two men were arrested.

total scum 6 against 1, about the norm, and what for,? a mobile phone, they just never think about the consequences, oh, i forgot there won't be any, western eyes will never get accustomed by where you can kill someone, say "sorry" and the the law says,"ok don't do it again," thai justice system is an ass.

Utter, utter scum. So i wonder what the punishment for killing a Burmese guy is then?

 

And obviously no premeditation for violence despite turning up in vastly superior numbers with weapons.

 

The outcome will no doubt be pathetic. But still we'll never know as murders like this are all too frequent and never chased up by lazy journalists.

 

RIP the man who lost his life so horribly :(

A 19-year-old man named Cham was arrested at the Morakot Hotel where he was hiding. A 19-year-old Burmese man named Wun was arrested in San Phee Sua.

 

So the attackers were also Burmese and they probably knew the victim .  

 

Just want to make it clear before the Thai bashing starts here.
