..why can't the jellyfish show up on cue when the Jomtien waters are filled with Russian touristas?

I thought the collective name for 'a smack of jellyfish' was 'a quiver'?

Read an interesting scientific study yesterday that connected jelly fish infestations with phases of the moon plus sea temperatures, thus enabling a gov't. authority to predict the infestation and adequately warn swimmers.  In the case of the article, jelly fish infestations were blocking the intake channels of cooling water for an electricity company, and they put science to work to fix the problem.

Until local authorities get their act together, swimmers can protect themselves by taking note of the full moon and sea temps.

Not funny.

Rather STUPID.

Back to the topic ... I don't understand why people go into the dirty waters here at all, jellyfish hazards or not.

Can't be a lot of swimmers in the water in Jomtien or we would have read horror stories already .  Only good thing that come out of the trashy beaches . Keep them trashy .

I thought it was rather funny.

Jomtien is famous for people jumping up and down in the water.

Could be the jellyfish hazard!
