BANGKOK: -- The Siam Commercial Bank has suspended the service of SCB Easy Application system on Thursday to upgrade the system following a disruption of the service on Wednesday due to increased use of the system for financial transactions.

 

The bank also offered an apology to its customers for the disruption of the system on Wednesday.

 

The bank however said that, after the upgrading, the SCB Easy Application service will resume scheduled on September 10.

Hmmm... An application produced by a financial institution suffered disruptions because it was increasingly used for financial transactions? Pray tell, what was its intended use? A messaging app?

I understand that they are migrating from a Sinclair ZX Spectrum to a BBC Micro running Acorn MOS.

It was perhaps an unwise decision to source the software from that persistent little fellow with the ad hoc  sales stand just inside the door at Pantip Plaza...
