Perlite: where to buy in Korat

I'd like to buy a sack or two of perlite. Any suggestions as to 1) where I can get it in / near Korat City and 2) what's it called in Thai?

Well it's "phoe-lai" (Thai pronounciation of perlite)

There is a slighly different script (another silent consonant at the end).

If I had to search for in our district town I would start at a shop that sell all kind of "agro chemicals".

ACK, Fresh Gardens and Accent all have big bags of perlite. 

Accent is the closest to Korat of the the 3 BKK stores, they

are in Don Mung area, the other off Suk closet to The Emporium'

and ACK in Oh Nut.

In my 17 years in Korat, I have never found it, and only found a

small bag of vermiculite one time, I get all from BKK.

ACK or Accent may ship/mail to you.

All this info is on several of the hydroponic threads.

Hello All, BEBQ, do you have a picture of the perlite?  Is it similar in size compared to these pics?

What I have is from ACK and is from OZ e land.

All I can tell you: from the description of the bag(sack) it is "powder".

So seemingly not what you look for.

 

But the stuff is not unknown, as seen in this online shop, selling 12 liter bags (150 Baht) :

It's the same stuff, I got 100L. bag in the pic above from ACK, Bt.750 or 850., can't

remember.

The pic from you link is perlite in a net pot that comes in sheets, also ACK sells for

for NTF growing of greens/lettuce.
