Police are yet to confirm the cause of Thawatchai’s death

 

 

Police are yet to conclude whether Mr Thawatchai Anukul, a former land officials of Phuket and Phang-nga provinces, was murdered or whether he hanged himself.

 

Pol Col Mana Pohchuey, superintendent of Thung Song Hong police station which has been investigating the case, said Monday that his men were in the process of gathering relevant evidences for the past five days since Thawatchai’s death, including autopsy report and testimonies of those interrogated by the police.

 

He said that, so far, three men had been interrogated, including the security guard manning the detention room at the Department of Special Investigation on the night of Thawatchai’s death, the police officer who made the arrest and the enquiry officer who questioned the victim.

 

More were due to be questioned on Monday. They included the victim’s younger brother, Charnnarong, and the medics of Mongkut Wattana hospital who performed the CPR on Thawatchai.

 

The security guard, Mr Sommart Narkwong, an employee of the War Veterans Organization, reportedly told the enquiry officer that Thawatchai hanged himself with his T-shirt while, in fact, it was his socks, said Pol Col Mana who, however, added that such error was not serious because he might be in a state of shock.

 

However, Sommart was subjected to lie detection by the DSI but the result was yet to be sent to Thung Song Hong police, said the colonel.

 

He went on saying that he was yet to receive CCTV footages of the detention room from the DSI.

they have lie detectors, are they made by the same company as the bomb detectors, hmmmmm, doubt they will get any useful info from them, they probably dont even know how to use them, the one giving the test can tell if they are lying usually. Result yet to be sent, must be making sure they have the correct results

Anakul was seen entering the DSI building smiling and very relaxed, and then "hanged himself" with a tee shirt..... no no, a pair of socks, 

(have you noticed that Thais wear half length socks, so work that one out) but now the diversion is to try and say he died from hanging and the ruptured liver was from CPR (AKA a nasty kicking)..... Have you ever noticed the uncomfortable and embarrassed looks on Thai people's faces when they tell you one of their family is a copper?

Should be the most conclusive and revealing evidence but the DSI have not seen fit to forward it. Draw your own conclusions but if it showed the guy tying his socks together it would be on television already.

I believe that a "lie detector test" requires a truthful baseline to be effective.  Fat chance of that as these clowns lie habitually.

Why does a police station require a security guard? Can't the police provide a higher level of security?

 

Perfect scapegoat, now they don't have to admit a DSI officer was involved.

I would tend to agree with a trained Doctor's diagnosis.

 

One does not normally get a ruptured liver from hanging.
