extension of entry

Featured Replies

I entered Thailand by air and received automatic 30 days in Kingdom which I then extended at immigration for another 30 days. Is it possible to get one more extension? although I believe only 7 more days extension will be granted? thank you in advance for a, hopefully, very prompt reply. (Immigration will not answer their phone for a week now...)

  • No, you can only get one 30 day extension per entry.
  • If you apply for another extension it would be declined but they should give you an extra 7 days to leave the country (1,900 baht).

After getting the one extension allowed all you can get is 7 days to leave the country after applying for an extension and paying 1900 baht for it.

OK, that's what I thought I might get-only 7 more days. Thanks very much Ubonjoe! So? That's definite I can get that extra 7 days? Cheers!

No, they don't have to give you an extra 7 days, but there is no reason why they won't.

Oh, while I'm at it, if my extension ends of 14th-can I go to immigration on 14th with no problem in Samui? or must I go on 13th? Thanks!

You can go on the 14th if you want to.
