New passport, letter from embassy, extending TV, what to do?

Featured Replies

Hi. Just renewed my UK passport. The old one has my TV so I was given a letter by the embassy, what should I do with that?  Also i want to extend my TV at local immigration but it is in my old passport, what happens now?

Go to Immigration and ask them to transfer the stamps, also ask them to transfer your TV,

Take the letter

Make whichever copy's of your old and new Passport that they may require

It's as simple as that

Immigration will not transfer the visa. They do a stamp where they enter info about it and the old passport.

They will only transfer the entry stamp that shows the 60 day entry from  the visa.

When you are ready to apply for the extension of stay (no need to do it before) take both passports and the letter to immigration, fill out the Extension Of Temporary Stay application (TM.7) and a Transfer Stamp To New Passport Form. They will transfer the entry stamp from the old to new passport and then process the extension of stay.
