Animal Welfare Shelters

Featured Replies

We have a dog problem. We were adopted. But unfortunately cannot keep her. It is a long story involving neighbours, the family and all the baggage. But she has been cleaned up, is due to be spayed and besides a bit of cringing has a lovely disposition.

I contacted two vets in Kanchanaburi to see if there are any options for an unwanted dog locally and was advised to either keep her in a cage or to leave her at the dump in Tha Muang, where she can forage. If there are no shelters that can take her I would like to have her put down. But that doesn’t appear to be an option either.  I am quite prepared to take her to Bangkok or elsewhere for either option.

There are also government shelters, but they're pretty dire.

You might also consider posting a few pictures here and see whether anyone would be willing to adopt her.

Absolutely no need to consider murdering her.

Thanks. I would rather put her to sleep than have the neighbours poison her. Have managed to contact Baan Unrak who confirmed that I am unlikely to find a vet who understands the difference.
