60 Day Extension Based on Marriage

Featured Replies

I've got a ME Non-O based on marriage. Two questions:

  1. I don't have a house book because I live in my wife's home which she owns (no loan either, completely paid off). What document(s) do I need to present instead of a house certificate/rental agreement?
  2. My current entry is good until October 4th. I've heard that I need to have at least 30 days left on my current entry to apply for an extension. Is this true?

Thanks!

  1. A signed copy of your wife's house book. She should be registered in the book for the house she owns/lives in. Depending on the office they might also want a TM.30 (report by the owner that you live in their property) form completed by your wife.
  2. I would say that most offices would process the application anytime within the last 30 days.

I'd also add a signed copy of her ID card to 1 above.
