4MyEgo
Looking for Australian beef/lamb in Issan. Had a steak at Sizzler Udon Thani the other day, OMG, better than the meat back in Oz, but at 929 baht for a 225 gram piece, its up there, especially if you want to eat it 2-3 times a week. So my question is: does anyone know of any places that sells Aussie meat, I went to a couple of places in Udon Thani the other day, the one opposite Nutty Park seems to have shut down, Makro only has NZ meat, but that looked to have a lot of fat on it. Will travel to Udon Thani, Sakon Nakon, Kon Kaen, Nong Kae to pick it up, I have seen the one on the web at BKK, but the selection IMO and delivery charges are up there, while I can appreciate its not associated with running the business. kwonitoy
Try the new Villa Supermarket in the UD Town complex in Udon Thani, great selection of meat now A free standing grocery store as you can find in Oz, US, or Canada with a huge parking lot. Go to the McDonalds drive in and its right there

Appreciate you putting me on to this. Have a good one.

meatboy
thanks for your reply.as i said we used to have to wait hrs.outside save one night market, you couldnt park anywhere near the road so you had to hump it a fair distance. so having it sent by bus to korat bus terminal is very easy for us. we get our coffee sent down from chaing mai on the bus, used to have all my indian food sent on the bus from surin but the supplier finished. so i will give them a good order today. yours meatboy. Issangeorge
Non Sung Meats, about 60 kilometres west of Mukdahan, has the same type of operation, I believe they copied from the Thai French Meat Company. The meat is just as good, I recommend the sirloin, there is also a restaurant. So if it is closer to your locale keep it in mind.
